An innovative and interactive educational program that provides pharmacists and student pharmacists with the skills necessary to become primary sources for vaccine advocacy, education, and administration. The two-part program reviews the basics of immunology, identifies legal and regulatory issues pharmacists must consider before starting an immunization program.

    UCB has received the Food and Drug Administration’s blessing for Nayzilam (midazolam) nasal spray CIV, a benzodiazepine indicated for the acute treatment of intermittent, stereotypic episodes of frequent seizure activity that are distinct from a patient’s usual seizure pattern in patients with epilepsy 12 years of age and older.
  • FDA issues draft guidance for developing drugs for NASH with cirrhosis
    Although there is not yet any Food and Drug Administration-approved drug for treating nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, the agency issued a draft guidance for companies developing drugs among NASH patients with cirrhosis who do not yet display symptoms. The draft guidance, “Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis with Compensated Cirrhosis: Developing Drugs for Treatment,” was announced in the Federal Register.
